A Little about me

I remember leaning over to whisper in my mother's ear, "I believe in Jesus!" It was right after a man sang a simple song at our church.  He had glasses, brown-reddish hair and was sitting down in the center of the big blue carpeted stage we came and watched on Sundays. It was just him and his guitar.  I don't remember the lyrics, or the melody of the song.  But I remember him.  A man bringing a gift of song to the Lord and sharing it with others.  I am so glad he did because something moved in me, and for the first time, I felt Jesus.  This man made Jesus so real to me that even my 9 year old self could understand the importance of what He was singing about.  Many years later I picked up my brother's guitar and started writing my own songs.  I think my first one I wrote was inspired by my wallpaper border I had around my room. There was a beach, sand, and a little red umbrella. Somehow I started singing about a shy sandcastle blowing away in the wind.

I found a way to get my thoughts out that sometimes would get tangled up inside my timid soul.  Music has always been a part of my life and I pray it always will be.  God has used music to draw me closer to Him.  My only hope in sharing my own music is that maybe, just maybe, there could be another little 9 year old girl or boy just waiting to hear from Jesus for the first time.  And maybe He can do it through a song just like He did with me.  Maybe He can draw you in closer too.
